Safety

At Warwick Mountains, your safety is very important to us. The exec do their best to create safe circumstances during trips and socials. However, especially when walking in the mountains, there is always some risk involved. Please do read our risk assessment. This has been updated to cover covid-19--related risks.

Trips

The people we refer to as "Walk Leaders" are trained and experienced, but not qualified. We recommend that you listen to the advice given to you by your walk leader, but you must ultimately make your own decisions as a competent adult.

When coming on one of our trips, you must read and accept the risk assessment.

Warwick Mountains is not affiliated with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), but we agree with their participation statement:

"The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions."

If you have any questions regarding safety, please do not hesitate to contact our Safety Officer Alex Barrett.
